Rhea, our Practice Manager graduated from Acadia University. Rhea lives in Dartmouth with her two sons.
Technicians
Liz
Liz is our Senior Veterinary Technician. Liz has worked in a variety of Technician jobs both here in Canada and Scotland during her career. She lives in Halifax with her two cats Morag and Tam, and her very cute border collie puppy!
Receptionists
Debbie
Debbie lives in Cow Bay with her spouse Grant and their three furry daughters; Lily, a beagle and cats Princess and Tinkerbell. Debbie also keeps a close watch on her mom's dog Pepper and cat Oranges. Debbie has completed a veterinary assistant home studies program and has always had a soft spot in her heart for all types of critters, rescuing stray cats since she was three and growing up with many dogs, rabbits and ducks. Debbie volunteers at the Hope for Wildlife Rehab and enjoys writing poetry and stories about her community . She also enjoys going for long walks along the seashore with her dogs!
Jackie
Jackie joined the Acres Team in January 2009 as a part-time receptionist and veterinary assistant. She became full-time in June and has added Bookkeeping to her duties. She has a special interest in laboratory work and learning new skills. She has always had a soft-spot for animals and now lives in Dartmouth with her husband and four 'furry children'.
Carrie
Carrie is our new full time Receptionist and Veterinary Assistant. She lives in Halifax with her Fiancee, 2 cats (Hemsky and Werthers) and her rabbit Hefner. Carrie graduated from the Maritime Buisness College with a diploma in Veterinary Assistant, and her passion is animal nursing.
Veterinarian Assistant
Natasha
Natasha moved here from British Columbia where she worked as a Veterinarian Assistant. She now lives in Dartmouth with her sister, her "baby" Sydney and her "nephew" Blue. Natasha has always had pets growing up and has a huge soft spot for all creatures big and small.
Clinic Cat
Rowan was abandoned in a cardboard box along with his sister and found his way into our hearts and clinic. He has had to be on several different medications to help control various parasitic infections but has recovered well. He is adjusting well to life at the clinic and once he is old enough, he'll be running around greeting you when you come to see us.
